Choose the area before the listing
A hillside villa may have broad views but need a car for shops and beaches. A coastal address may still be separated from the water by a road or steep path. The stay guide compares regions, and the Bellapais collection shows why an exact map pin matters more than a village label.
Inspect the contract and cost
Ask about minimum stay, deposit, electricity allowance, cleaning, pool heating, linen changes and cancellation terms. Use a traceable payment method and confirm who manages problems after hours. A low nightly rate may not reflect the full cost. The private-pool villa guide has extra questions for higher-end stays.
Check safety and comfort
If children are travelling, request current details of pool fencing, depth and supervision responsibility. Ask about stairs, bedroom cooling, Wi-Fi and step-free access if relevant. Recent photos and independent reviews can help, but get key claims from the manager in writing. Never assume a pool is heated or a property is staffed.
Plan the arrival
Share the host’s map pin with the driver and get a working check-in contact. Decide whether car hire or an airport transfer best fits the stay. Rental vehicles crossing the Green Line may have restrictions; confirm those with the supplier. This page is a booking checklist, not a set of verified villa offers.
