Finding the Best Restaurants
As a foodie who loves to explore new places, I was excited to check out some of the best restaurants in North Cyprus.during my recent trip. After doing some research online, I compiled a list of the most highly recommended places based on reviews from trusted sources like TripAdvisor.
Nima Restaurant & Lounge Bar
The first place on my list to try was Nima Restaurant & Lounge Bar. With over 500 reviews and a perfect 5-star rating, it seemed like a safe bet. I'm glad I started here because the food did not disappoint! We started with some delicious hummus and pita bread for appetizers.
For our mains, I had the seafood pasta which was fresh and full of flavor. My friend really enjoyed the steak - she said it was cooked perfectly. The ambiance at Nima was also lovely. We dined outdoors overlooking the water, which made for a very pleasant meal. Based on the quality of the food and beautiful surroundings, I can see why Nima tops many the best restaurants in North Cyprus lists.
Bella Moon
Next up was Bella Moon, another highly rated spot according to TripAdvisor. The complimentary appetizers we were served upon being seated really set the tone for a great meal. The bread, olives and hummus were so tasty!
For our main courses, I opted for the chicken shish which was juicy and full of flavor. My dining partner got the mixed grills and we both enjoyed sampling from each other's plates. Service was attentive but not overbearing. All in all, we felt Bella Moon delivered on flavor and ambiance, cementing its place as one of the best restaurants in North Cyprus.
Hoots Bistro
On our last night, we wanted to check out a place with a more casual vibe and that's how we ended up at Hoots Bistro. Stepping inside, I was struck by the cozy yet stylish decor. We sat at the bar and chatted with our friendly server as we looked over the menu.
I went for the lamb burger which was cooked to perfection and served with thick cut fries. My friend got fish and chips and we both agreed the batter was light and crispy. Prices at Hoots were also very reasonable for the quality of food and drinks. Based on our experience, Hoots Bistro is definitely deserving of its top ratings and reputation as one of the best, most laidback restaurants in North Cyprus.
Other Notable Spots
In addition to the places we visited, I heard great things about a few other top rated restaurants on the island from both locals and other travelers. Grida Balık Restaurant Kıbrıs seemed to be highly recommended for fresh seafood.
Jashan's Indian Restaurant Kyrenia North Cyprus was praised for its authentic curries. And Azra Claire's Asian Restaurant received rave reviews for Thai and Chinese dishes. Unfortunately we didn't have time to try all the top places, so it just gives me an excuse to plan another trip back to explore more of what the amazing restaurants in North Cyprus have to offer!
Final Thought
North Cyprus truly has something for every taste when it comes to dining. From casual seaside spots to upscale international cuisine, you can experience the influences of Turkey, Greece and the Mediterranean all in one place.
