Check live estimates for each leg before departure. Add time for breaks, slower village roads and changes in access; a map estimate is not an itinerary. Your starting point may add a substantial journey before the route begins.
Day 1: make your way east
Start with fuel, water and a confirmed room. Choose a manageable first stop around Yeni Erenköy rather than stopping at every viewpoint. Continue towards Dipkarpaz, check in while it is still convenient to find the property and ask locally about the next day’s access and road conditions.
Dipkarpaz and a village evening
Leave time to walk through the village and settle into your accommodation. If daylight and conditions allow, consider the Ayios Philon area as a separate short outing. Arrange dinner before relying on a late opening and confirm breakfast or supplies for the morning.
Day 2: Golden Beach
Leave with enough time for an unhurried beach stop. Park in an appropriate place and keep vehicles off dunes and sand tracks. Take water, shade and what you need for the day; decide whether to swim from the conditions and any local warnings.
Apostolos Andreas and the far peninsula
Continue only if the road, weather and available time suit your group. Check current access to the monastery area, dress respectfully and stay on permitted routes. Do not add a rough-road detour because it appears close on the map.
Overnight accommodation

One-day alternative
Choose a limited route and set a firm turnaround time. Either explore the approach and a village stop, or make one focused visit farther east. Remove optional stops before extending the drive into an evening you had not planned.
Fuel and road conditions

Wildlife and responsible behaviour
Watch animals from a distance and do not feed donkeys beside the road. Avoid stopping where you obstruct traffic. Leave nests, wildlife and conservation markers untouched, keep noise down and take litter away.
