Larnaca to Kyrenia

Use the exact property address: central Kyrenia, Bellapais and the western coast are different drop-offs. Read the Kyrenia area guide and choose among Kyrenia hotels before requesting a quote.

Larnaca to Famagusta

Distinguish Famagusta town from the Salamis coast. For a first visit, a direct transfer avoids arranging the last leg with luggage. Our Famagusta guide explains the difference between city and beach bases.

Larnaca to İskele and Long Beach

Give the accommodation name and a map pin, particularly for an apartment complex. Confirm how keys are collected and whether the driver can reach the correct entrance. A booking described as Famagusta may actually be farther up the coast.

Larnaca to Bafra

Bafra is a resort area beyond the Famagusta/İskele corridor. Compare Bafra hotels and ask the operator to price your actual resort rather than a generic city transfer. Leave the return pickup time to a plan agreed with the operator and airline.

Private transfers and taxis

A private booking lets you agree the destination and vehicle in advance. An airport taxi still needs the same checks. Confirm the quoted currency, payment method, luggage space, waiting policy and whether one vehicle completes the whole journey. See direct transfer-booking options.

Car hire and cross-border cover

Do not assume that a Larnaca rental contract allows travel north. Permission to take the vehicle across and insurance for damage, liability and recovery are separate questions. Read our car-hire planning page before committing to a vehicle.

Border formalities

Carry the required travel documents for everyone in the vehicle. Requirements depend on nationality and circumstances; a driver cannot guarantee admission. British passport holders should use the FCDO entry guidance and other travellers should consult the relevant authorities for their passport.

Late-night arrivals

Get a written meeting point, a working phone contact and instructions for a delayed flight. Check whether the property will accept a late check-in. If you cannot confirm the full onward journey, resolve it before flying rather than assuming every service runs overnight.

Booking checklist

Send the flight number, date, passenger count, luggage needs and final address. Request any child seat or accessible vehicle explicitly. Keep the booking confirmation available offline and agree the return arrangements before your departure day.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a guaranteed direct public bus to my North Cyprus hotel?

Do not plan on a single through service without checking current operators. Public transport may require several independently arranged legs.

Does a transfer booking include permission to cross?

No. Your travel documents and eligibility are separate from the transport booking.

Should I use a fixed journey time?

Use the operator’s current estimate for your address and allow for traffic, airport procedures and crossing delays.
