Search for ECN and compare connections

Search the airport as Ercan (ECN), sometimes shown under Lefkoşa or Nicosia. Turkish Airlines and Pegasus advertise Ercan itineraries; their own booking tools are the best place to verify today's departure cities, connecting airports and fares. Journeys from outside Türkiye commonly involve a Turkish connection. Check whether a change of airport in Istanbul is involved before choosing a short connection.

Work out the true cheap fare

Compare return flights on nearby dates, then add hold baggage, cabin-bag limits, seat fees and any overnight connection. Consider separate tickets carefully: a delayed first flight may not protect the second booking. Check the airline's fare conditions, transit requirements and arrival time. A cheaper late arrival can need a private transfer instead of your preferred daytime option.

Understand entry implications

For British citizens, the UK government warns that Republic of Cyprus authorities may consider entry through Ercan unlawful and that this can affect later travel across the Green Line. Rules vary by nationality. Read the crossing guide and your own government's current advice before booking an itinerary that uses both sides of the island. This page cannot determine your individual right to enter.

After landing

Pre-arrange transport to your actual accommodation. Our Ercan to Kyrenia guide explains the choices, and airport transfers covers booking questions. If you plan to drive, read the airport car-rental checklist before committing.

Compare with other airports

Larnaca and Paphos can provide different flight choices, but they involve a journey across the Green Line to reach northern accommodation. Compare the whole route, not just the air ticket, and confirm crossing documents and transfer terms before you pay.
